I have only known you from being a recruit at the Academy and hiring process, but in that time, you were known to be such a positive influence that everyone could relate to.
Your timely down to earth- sometimes humorous- comments put us all at ease in the times where we could use it so we could relate and learn.
You spoke to everyone with respect and respect is what you got back, not because of your excellent physical stature, but because you were truly a person who deserved it thru your communication style and treating people with dignity.
Thank you for being approachable all that you have taught us, both in the classroom and as a person.
Your students will work for many years and live on in hopes they can be just a good a person as you were and positively influence others as well in their lifetime.
To his family, Thank you for supporting and sharing Mark with us.
The world was and will continue to be a better place with him being on it for 53 years.
God Speed

Dear Lynn and the entire Lewis family, I have not seen Mark in years but the memories of the days working and hanging out with Mark at Lifeforce are some of the best memories I have. He was funny, kind, compassionate, full of great wisdom and a positive attitude. My husband met him at the academy and saw him occasionally and has always said "what a great dude". Yep, that's how every single person that I know who he touched in one way or another described Mark. Just a great dude. The best. His time here was well served. Much love and God's strength to you all. Sharon

To the Lewis family...Dad, Wife, 2 sisters and a brother......Mark was a student of mine at Thomas Jefferson High School. He was one of my favorites, and showed respect to me and everyone he knew. I remember seeing him in the hallways and in my Physical Education Class many times. I knew he had the potential to be great. I even got him to start lifting weights. He will definitely be missed by me. He was taken from us too early. My deepest sympathies to the whole family. I know he's in Heaven now meeting his Mother up there. He had invited me to his house several times, and we even arm wrestled some times. God Bless all of you and always remember the good times. I will miss him deeply.

There or not enough words to to express our feelings when we heard the news about Mark's passing. He was a truly one of a kind wonderful person who was so full of spirit and compassion. I can truly not remember a time when we were at the same get together that he wasn't smiling. He was kind and listened when you talked. When someone like Mark (and Lynn) touch your lives, they become family. And so as family, our hearts are saddened with you Lynn during this very rough time. We mourn with you, and are here for you if you should need us

Mark was a excellent public servant, above & beyond the call of duty with whom I became acquainted when I started working at the Courthouse in my current job as our Building Guard. He made me feel welcome to work in our professional capacity. My sincere sympathies & condolences to his family.

Mark Lewis was a man's man. Truthful, Loyal, Non Judgmental and Honest. He stood in a place we all aspire to be but will rarely achieve. If you did not like this man when you met him, then something was amiss with your value system. In the 25 years that I have know him, never once did I hear a gossipy or unkind word about anyone from him.

Mark truly loved his wife, family and his God. We will truly miss him and our LEO community will have lost one of it's best.

To paraphrase Matthew 25: "Well done thou good and faithful servant Come into the mansion I have prepared for you". Rock On, Mark.

Mark, you were a blast to be around. The constant professional, yet laughter was always slipped in regardless of the situation. You made me an offer to drive my dream car (your cobra jet) and i kick myself for not doing it, but i didnt for good luck I would have wrecked it & been the cause of the one time you werent laughing & taking aim at me as I ran. You are missed Brother. R.I.P. Condolences to the Lewis family, he was a great human being.
